Last week, we organized a three-day educational trip to Auschwitz. The intensive program was attended by 18 participants, representing all post-Holocaust generations. We met online with Ms. Hana Sternlicht from Israel, a survivor of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration and extermination camp, who shared her wartime experiences with us. As part of the tour, we visited the site of the Theresienstadt family camp (BIIb) in Birkenau. Together, we honored the memory of the Shoah victims and remembered our family members and loved ones. As is our tradition, we stayed at our partner international youth center and also visited sites connected to the pre-war Jewish history of Auschwitz.
