We are sharing an invitation to an exhibition of drawings by Israeli artist Zoya Cherkassky, taking place at Artivist Lab in Kampus Hybernská, Prague.
The drawings serve as an immediate visual testimony of murder, abduction, fear, and loss, but also capture the moment when individual human lives begin to fade behind numbers, nationality, and political categories.
Exhibition curator Tamara Moyzes states: “The exhibition rejects the notion that an Israeli victim must first prove their political innocence, distance themselves from their own government, or document their relationship with Palestinians in order to be publicly mourned. A person murdered on October 7 has the right to a name, to memory, and to grief simply because they were a human being.”
